Saxony Switzerland is a natural site located in the Czech Republic, near the border with Germany. This natural park was founded in 2000 with the mission to preserve its unique rock formations and pristine forests and rivers.  Here visitors will be treated to over 700 square kilometers of wilderness to discover and explore. It is a part of the Elbe Sandstone Mountains, which are known for their unique rock formations and landscapes. The site covers an area of about 79 square kilometers and features many attractions, such as the Pravčická brána (the largest natural sandstone arch in Europe), the Kamenice River Gorge, and the Bastei Bridge. Saxonien Switzerland is a popular destination for hikers, climbers, and nature lovers who want to explore its scenic beauty and rich biodiversity.

Less demanding option for those who can not walk too much is a tour to Bastei located in Saxonien Switzerland. Bastei is a famous rock formation. The Bastei has been a tourist attraction for over 200 years. In 1824, a wooden bridge was constructed to link several rocks for the visitors. This bridge was replaced in 1851 by the present Bastei Bridge made of sandstone. There you can admire fairy tale rock formations as well as medieval castle, old stone bridge and enjoy stunning views of Elbe river.
