Art Nouveau is a style of architecture and decorative art that was popular from the late 19th century to the early 20th century. Prague´s Art Nouveau heritage features some 40 buildings in this style in the metropolis today.
We will drive you along the embankment of the river where grand Art Nouveau houses were built in the beginning of the 20th century, walk with you along luxury Parizska Street and visit the Municipal House with the most elegant Art Nouveau interiors in the city of Prague. A unique private tour of its salons can be organized for you.
A visit to Alfons Mucha’s House can be also included in this tour. Alfons Mucha was a famous Czech painter and one of the fathers of Art Nouveau style in Prague.
Art Nouveau designers believed Art should work in harmony to create a total work of art in buildings, furniture, textiles, clothes, and jewelry; all should conform to the principles of Art Nouveau and Art should strive to be a part of everyday life.
